Emma and her team are leading several key initiatives currently, including global leadership models, values and behaviours, and social learning.
Described as “energetic”, “visionary” and “strategic”, Emma thrives being around ideas and innovation. Laura Bell | SafeStack

Before all that however she wrote software for a crazy collection of places around the world, spoke at a few international conference things and released a few open source tools…. not what you expect from someone who thought they would be Scully from the X-Files or run an ice-cream shop when they grew up. Laura lives in Auckland with her husband and daughter and hopes that one day she can help girls and women of all ages find their own crazy technical adventure.
What your ticket buys
Tickets are $25 – the ticket price includes a light dinner and a drink. Please note that the dinner is not a sit-down dinner but there is plenty of Toto’s famous pizza, finger food and sweet treats. There are limited vegetarian and gluten free options available.
The speakers will start at about 6.45 and we encourage you to stay for another drink afterwards or move on somewhere else to continue the conversations if you’re keen. A cash bar operates for the evening.
Men are welcome to attend
Although our name suggests this event is only for women, our speakers are so great that everyone will want to come. We’ve got a limited number of tickets available for our male colleagues and friends as well, but you’ll have to be quick!
Toto’s Montecristo Room is downstairs from the fantastic Toto’s Restaurant in Nelson Street. It’s across from TVNZ, just up from Pastis and 5 minutes from Queen Street. There’s heaps of parking nearby.
